I'm a sixteen year old homeschooled horse geek.

First of all, I am a Christian who is passionate about serving our Lord. I have a sincere desire to be a shining beacon for Him. I want to spread His love in an possible way I can. I want to be humble. I want to be who I was created to be. The journey can be rough at times, but I do strive for excellence in my Lord.

I'm a photographer (of sorts) who thirsts for perfectionism in my photos, but generally falls short of that mark. I prefer snapping pictures of nature and animals, but have slowly been experimenting in other areas of photography as well.

I'm a writer who breaks rules. Sticking with one genre isn't a "thing" in my book. I write fan fiction on occasion (when I'm not busy writing originals), poetry whenever the urge hits (rarely), essays religiously (like...all the time), devotions tentatively (I don't want to undermine our Lord's greatness), and books in a horrendously plodding fashion (My brain insists upon planning before I can get a word in edgewise). I'm a ranch kid. I love animals - horses in particular, nature, working outside, and living "away from it all". I also love simple living, or self reliance. Living solely off the fruits of the land has been an ultimate goal for me for a very long time. Basically, I want to be a modern Laura Ingalls Wilder. 

I love music. And reading. I can handle about any genre with either as long as it's confined to the "clean realm". I'm generally reading up to four books at a time, and if I don't listen to at least one song in a day, something might very well be wrong with me. 

I also crochet (somewhat), knit (work in progress), ride, play piano and dobro, organize, cook/bake, clean house, babysit, garden (with mom), letter write (pen pals), draw,  and learn foreign languages.

    Just discovered your blog through Lilly’s Tidbit! I’m super excited to find blogs like these! I seem to have a hard time finding friends similar to me, so it’s exciting to find so many teens like me! Yes to mountains, big trees, old farm houses, and cabins. I also crochet, like to ride horses (though I don’t have one), and like to write to a certain extent.

    I was just innocently responding to comments, found your blog and started reading along and *POW* YOU LIKE KNIVES AND HORSES? I ALSO LIKE KNIVES AND hORSES.
    I have two horses right now. I had a third...(A BLM Mustang project!!!) and I was starting him under saddle but then I kind of (unexpectedly) went to school...And I knew I wouldn't have time to work with him and he was so bored and needed a job and so I sold him to someone who could work with him. :(

    Anyway, enough of me weeping about my horse, I LOVE THIS BLOG! Its so unique and you can just FEEL your personality in everything!
